ballenas

the horizon divides, in shades of gray, the sky from the sea from the buildings from the trees. on this blurred line a dark curve emerges, glistening black.  the water murmurs in and out over the sound of rushing cars. a jet. a long inhale. when my eyes close, I see colours and shapes. when they open, strands of DNA float over my eyes, forming, decomposing and fading away. exhale. flickering, a yellow smudge flies past, and then another. I want to submerge myself into that sea, let its shadows surround me. a cloud glides over her body as it descends. the scene darkens. over there, just water and expanding life, over here just me, the whales, the benteveos, a lone seagull, and you.
